The price of tickets for Chris Rock, who was slapped in the face by Hollywood actor Will Smith for a joke that crossed the line during the Academy Awards, has increased tenfold.

According to Variety on the 29th (local time), the popularity of Chris Rock's concert tickets has been on the rise since he was slapped in the face during a live broadcast.

Chris Rock has been selling tickets to his live comedy performances since last month. Tickets for his concert have skyrocketed since the afternoon of the 27th, when Chris Rock was slapped in the face by Will Smith. It is said that the number of tickets sold during the day of the awards ceremony was higher than that of the previous month.

As demand increased, so did the price. According to an official from ticket trading site Tikpick, Chris Rock's concert tickets were previously sold for $46 (about 50,000 won), but after he was slapped in the face by Will Smith, it is known that the price soared to $410 (about 500,000 won).

Chris Rock will start the live performance 'Ego Death' world tour from April 2nd. Prior to this, the Boston concerts on the 30th and April 1 are currently sold out.

1. Ignorant Americans..

2. Crazy this just shows the level Americans are for supporting f*ckers like him ^^

3. The country which claims to be "advanced"

4. The "woke" culture is a mental disease (t/n: 쿨병, cool-disease basically someone who thinks and obsess over being cool/trendy so much that it becomes a disease)

5. Country of r*tards

6. This pisses me off

7. This is the same thing as stores seeing a surge in popularity after mistreating a customer... there are people like that everywhere.. But it's indeed horrible

8. A country with a short history cannot have strong fundamentals

9. Wow this is American's standard.. They're so barbaric

10. I can understand them criticizing for what Will Smith did, but I can't understand why US needs to praise Chris Rock in return. If you hate assault, you should hate both equally, why do they never pay attention to verbal assault?

Canadian actor Jim Carrey had several choice words about the now-infamous Oscars moment when Will Smith walked onstage to slap Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Smith’s wife’s hair during the broadcast.

Carrey, 60, told CBS’ Gayle King he was “sickened” not only by Smith’s actions, but by Hollywood celebrities who still gave Smith a standing ovation for his Best Actor win for King Richard.

“Hollywood is just spineless en masse and it felt like this is a really clear indication that we aren’t the cool club anymore,” Carrey said.

Carrey said Smith should have been escorted from the venue after the slap, going so far as to add that he should have been arrested.

When King said Rock had declined to press charges against Smith, 53, Carrey claimed that was only because the comedian “didn’t want the hassle.”

“I’d have announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200 million because that video is going to be there forever. It’s going to be ubiquitous,” Carrey said.

“That insult is gonna last a very long time,” Carrey added. “If you want to yell from the audience and show disapproval or say something on Twitter [that’s fine]. But you do not have the right to walk up on stage and smack somebody in the face because they said words.”

“[The slap] came out of nowhere because Will has something going on inside him that’s frustrated,” Carrey suggested. “I wish him the best. I have nothing against Will Smith. He’s done great things, but that was not a good moment. It cast a shadow over everyone’s shining moment last night … It was a selfish moment.”

1. Of course, he's a comedian himself so he'll side with Chris

2. Jim-ssi stay out of this

3. Ajussi, learn to stay out of this

4. Here's the reason why I hate to see actors criticizing Will Smith and defending Chris Rock right now ㅋㅋ When they were giving awards for various sex offenders and domestic violence offenders at the Oscars, everyone stood still, and now the same crowd is here criticizing Will Smith. Meanwhile they never rescinded the other awards and nobody questioned whether to rescind it in the first place right? This is the first black actor to win Best Actor awards in 16 years. So far, only five black people have won the Oscar for Best Actor. Violence is wrong, but there is no reason for them to let every other criminals slide while only acting critical towards Will Smith. We have to maintain the same standards, meanwhile they're being wishy washy with what they consider an assault. Who is supposed to understand this?

5. Wow f*ck...I seriously can't understand Americans' sensibility

6. White men at it again saying useless things

7. White men shouldn't have a say in this

8. Ok ok, next white man

9. White f*ckers

1. Seriously the country of attention seekers

2. The country where being woke is a disease

3. Sarcastic remarks like these are seriously pathetic

4. She just wants to bullsh*t. Of course Will Smith was inthe wrong too, but the other f*cker was just as wrong, stop being so sarcastic and just say things straight

5. She's a freaking attention seeker

6. If Will Smith didn't assault the guy, the person everyone will be mocking now would be Jada... Having the person you love become to target of ridicule and turn into a meme VS becoming a meme yourself... Just think about this, the latter is way better

7. Woke culture disease is damn impressive

8. Zoe Kravitz f*cking sucks at acting and she's just a nepotism kid, thanks to her parents she was able to star in X-Men, Mad Max and even Fantastic Beast, all those popular works... Meanwhile she was the only one who couldn't act in X-menㅋㅋㅋ Meanwhile she's only done big works after big works... Seriously her acting skills are freaking bad, but her filmography is freaking goodㅋㅋ  Does she think she became some big actress now? The way she thinks she cleaned her reputation is f*cking funny..

9. She sure is chatty for someone who claims to be an actress but doesn't even have the fundamentals to act~~~

10. So she thinks it's okay for someone to mock others based on their disease? Will she be able to say the same if she went to a cancer hospital and mocked a cancer patient? Let's see if their family will stay still
