A man in his 30s with 42 criminal convictions, including forced indecent act and raping a disabled person, was arrested by the police when calling a teenage woman who had ran away from home to have sex.
On the 18th, Incheon Samsan Police Station booked a 31-year-old man A on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Sexuality of Children and Adolescents (lawful rape of minors) and is investigating him.
A is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl, B, who is a minor, the day before (17th) at a hotel in Incheon.
The two first met through an anonymous chatting app. B was a runaway teenager.
A called B to a hotel and had sex with her. According to the current law, sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 16 is punishable as contemplative rape without consent.
After receiving a report about B running away, the police traced B's last call record to find out about A's existence. A is said to have 42 criminal records, including forced indecent act and raping a disabled person.
On the same day, around midnight, the police caught A in a downtown area in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
The police will investigate the exact circumstances of the incident.
