A 28-year-old man threatened to kill 9 SM Entertainment employees after feeling rejected by a girl group member.

On August 11, 28-year-old 'A' was arrested by police for making threats and obstructing business. According to reports, 'A' reportedly posted death threats against 9 random employees of SM Entertainment on a controversial online community.

'A' is reported to have been a fan of a girl group member for 17 years, and he told police he grew angry and impulsively wrote death threats after she didn't respond to multiple private messages. Police stated, "The suspect stated he attempted to get friendly to the idol on several occasions, but when she didn't respond, he got angry. The suspect wrote a D-day when he would go through with his death threats and planned what he would write in his threat, which included several different situations and how he would respond to police."

The death threats follow the second mass stabbing in South Korea, which left 14 hospitalized. Police are said to be taking the situation seriously as they don't believe 'A's threats were impulsive, but rather a calculated plan.
