[theqoo] IDOL GROUP WHO IS CURRENTLY FACING A BLASPHEMY CONTROVERSY FROM INTERNATIONAL K-POP FANS...

They're an idol group called Kingdom and they started their pre-release sales for their comeback
And because of the imagery, they are having a controversy with their Muslim fans

This is the controversial album poster

The design of the album was controversial because it was considered sacred in Islam and it was very similar to the Quran.

So the overseas fans are currently debating this issue.

People who are criticizing it

People who are supporting it
"As someone from the Middle East, I'd like to add my voice to the album design conversation. The design is known as the arabesque design. This design is not only used for religious texts. I don't see anything wrong with using this design for this album. I have many non-Muslim books that use this design on their covers, and it is very common on rugs and various household items. If you are a Muslim and are offended by this, you are entitled to your feelings. I am also entitled to my feelings. If you find it offensive, I would like to have a conversation with you. Let's all take a deep breath and come at this from a place of mutual understanding."

"Hello. This is GF Entertainment.

First of all, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to our fans for their love and support for KINGDOM.

We would like to inform you that KINGDOM's seventh mini album "History Of Kingdom: Part VII. JAHAN", which was scheduled to be pre-released at 2pm today, has been postponed due to internal reasons.

We apologize for any confusion caused to our fans by this sudden change in schedule. We will inform you as soon as the schedule is finalized.

Thank you."

original post: here

1. I just searched up the Quran and it looks exactly the same.. Aren't they scared of Muslim extremists? Do they want to be terrorized? I hope they never use Islamic culture

2. This group is trying to be controversial with every concept

3. Didn't this group get into another controversy before?

4. These guys got into a controversy related to Japan last time no?... They should know the limits of "concepts" they are trying to troll way too hard. Since this isn't their first time, I just think that the group is problematic

5. They shouldn't touch religion....

6. Their concept is always the topic of controversy...

7. It's such a predictable controversy that I'm surprised they still chose this concept;

8. This is too obviously nose marketing. But they also just ended as noise

9. If you mess with Islam, it can be dangerous

10. To be honest, even the wording of this post sounds like noise marketing
