I have been into kpop for a year or so. I knew kpop before but I was more interested in kdrama/manhwa/novel side. I saw a few funny clips on tiktok and started checking out some groups, honestly i should have just stuck to variety shows and casual listening being a multi stan. I began to interact more with a specific fandom because I wanted to get to know the members more then i bagan ulting them. Seeing the fandom act superior, looking down on other groups and fanwars made me a bitter fan too. Until I saw the other group was the same level or slightly more popular than my ults. The members were sweet too and funny in their own way. The fandom brainwashing that my ults has the best music stopped me from checking out other gg and bgs music forget about soloists.
Anyway I'm glad I came to this realization because now I have more things to enjoy, more groups to checkout. Leaving kpop is not an option for me because I have started going to so many concerts, events and meeting new people which I didn't do before. I hope this gives people a chance to reflect on their hateful behavior to people who have done nothing to you.
