The reason people get canceled over trivial matters is that they gained popularity from trivial things. Currently, many successful full-time YouTubers in Korea create content primarily about eating well, traveling, filming vlogs, or just chatting among themselves—things that are not a big deal.
So it’s no surprise that they can easily get canceled over minor issues. Would a truly talented chef's career collapse just because they traveled with someone who has personal issues? Would a soccer player who scores 30 goals a season be kicked out of their career for defending someone with personal issues? Would a skilled IT developer be fired over a slip of the tongue?
Since they rose to fame in the first place from those 'trivial things,' even minor controversies can lead to a quick downfall.

1. That's so true, being a "content creator" doesn't mean you're an expert in the field
2. I don't agree with this take at all, this feels like forcing to find excuses
3. Influencers can't get deeply involved in the broadcasting industry cartel, so that's why it happens ㅋㅋㅋ If you didn't know better, you'd think the public doesn't criticize celebrities and actually needs them. As if! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Those actors gets so much push from each other from the start, which is why they don’t get cancelled easily
4. If they aren't experts in any fields, they'll rely heavily on being relatable, so when that image takes a hit, it makes sense that they get canceled. People will just turn their attention to another YouTuber, and when interest wanes, views drop, which quietly leads to their downfall. .I think that’s somewhat true
5. It's more like the feeling of finally finding a friend through Youtube and cutting that friend off..
6. I've never thought about it before, but there's some truth to that. In fact, a lot of people see YouTube as just trivial stuff. It can be viewed as something like a casual meal buddy, since these are replaceable aspects. It might be a bit harder to replace a more unique YouTuber, though
7. I feel like this is true ㅋㅋㅋ I believe that becoming a celebrity, influencer, or YouTuber is truly a matter of luck, so I don't think it matters whether that person's "expertise" are high or low.
8. Me too I feel like the reasons why they get canceled is over trivial matters but I feel like OP omits the fact that the level of their success also plays a part
9. I agree, they treat things trivially so I can also treat them trivially
10. The easier you rise the easier you fall, this applies to everything in life no? ㅋㅋ
