An influencer from Produce 101 Season 2 has been caught up in a scam controversy.

According to an MBC News Desk report on February 20, victims have been coming forward, claiming they were scammed by a travel agency that was promoted as being run by a famous representative from a popular entertainment program and experienced by a well-known influencer.

The travel agency, which primarily sold Southeast Asian tour packages, is run by a man named Lee. The News Desk introduced him by saying, "He appeared on a famous K-pop variety show," and a mosaic image of a person from Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 was shown in the footage.

Earlier this month, the agency canceled tour packages without any explanation and promised refunds, but then disappeared without returning the money or making further contact.

When victims visited the agency's office, they found that the sign and staff were all gone. So far, 15 victims have been confirmed.
