At 10:30 AM on the 7th, the Seoul Central District Court’s 50th Civil Division held a hearing on the injunction request filed by ADOR against the five members of NJZ regarding the preservation of agency status and the prohibition of advertising contract signings. During the hearing, the NJZ side mentioned the Jeju Air disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport in December last year, stating, “Due to HYBE’s scheme, only the creditors (NJZ members) were nearly subjected to public criticism.”

The NJZ side explained, “At that time, the members intended to wear memorial ribbons on stage in Japan, but HYBE blocked it, citing concerns that the Japanese broadcasting station might take issue with it. However, upon confirmation, the Japanese broadcasting station conveyed that there was no issue at all.” They further stated, “In the end, Hanni hurriedly made a memorial ribbon herself and wore it on stage.”

They continued, “Later, we saw that other HYBE artists had worn regular memorial ribbons on stage. If the debtors (HYBE) had made the creditors (NJZ members) comply with their decision, the members would have been unfairly criticized. This proves that the debtors are damaging the creditors’ reputation behind the scenes.”
