[marriage & in-laws] AFTERMATH OF MY GUY FRIEND TREATING ME TO HANWOO OMAKASE ...ㅎㅎ

(Pic not included)

It's already been three months..!! I don't know if you guys remember, but I wanted to share a quick update of what happened. (t/n: OP has posted about a guy friend treating her to Hanwoo omakase in the past. He's a guy friend she contacts everyday and is really close to her. OP has revealed in the part 2 that she actually likes the guy friend. When she got the invitation, she was wondering what his intentions were and this is the aftermath of the omakase event.)

I went to eat Hanwoo omakase with my guy friend, hoping to have a serious conversation. But during the meal, he told me he was really grateful for everything I'd done for him. He said he just appreciated me as a friend and thanked me for listening to him all this time, that's why he treated me... ㅎㅎ

Later, I heard from another friend that he had suspected I liked him, but he had no intention of dating me. Still, he felt sorry and thankful for everything I'd done, so he took me out to make things feel lighter for both of us.
But then, even after the omakase, he kept acting like a “pseudo-boyfriend,” and I lost all feelings for him, so I just cut off contact.

My one-and-a-half-year one sided crush ended like that, and it was really heartbreaking at the time...
But now, I'm in a happy relationship with someone who genuinely likes me :)
So I hope all of you find happiness too!!

It just wasn't meant to be. That guy friend realized you liked him and treated you to a nice meal to gently push you away, but when it came time to actually let you go, he probably felt a bit conflicted…
Trying to act like a pseudo-boyfriend after all that is crazy... You cutting him off first was a smart move.
And by the way, congrats, congrats on finding a real boyfriend

Ah, I guessed wrong. He was a good guy, but also a bad guy, though not *that* bad… but also not *that* good either

Congrats on doing it all in three months: hyping yourself up, treating yourself to Hanwoo, ending a one-sided crush, and starting a new relationship

Wow it kinda feels like a reversal. When I first read your post, all the comments telling you he must like you are now so funny and sad ㅋㅋ

Roughly from the guy's perspective: He's currently unemployed, so he can't ask for a girlfriend because it would hurt his pride. He thought she would be the one to chase him, saying things like, “Don’t worry about money, you'll do great, I'll wait for you.” But instead, she just cut him off completely. He thought he was playing hard to get, but instead, he got pushed away far out of reach.
