According to the film industry on the 12th, Tom Cruise participated in a recording of "Run Jin" during his recent visit to Korea. "Run Jin" is Jin’s solo variety show that is uploaded every Tuesday on BTS’s YouTube channel, “BANGTAN TV.”
This marks the first-ever meeting between the two global stars and was part of the promotional activities for Tom Cruise’s upcoming film Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two (hereafter referred to as Mission: Impossible 8).
Tom Cruise arrived in Korea on the afternoon of the 7th for the Mission: Impossible 8 Korean promotion. This visit marks his 12th overall trip to Korea and his first in two years, following the release of Mission Impossible:Dead Reckoning Part One in 2023.
Joining him on this visit were director Christopher McQuarrie and actors Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Greg Tarzan Davis. Tom Cruise stayed in Korea for two days and one night, attending the Mission: Impossible 8 press conference, red carpet event, and more.
It is reported that Tom Cruise appeared alone on “Run Jin,” while director Christopher McQuarrie took part in a “Masters Talk” with director Choi Dong-hoon, known for The Thieves and Assassination. Simon Pegg and Greg Tarzan Davis appeared on Epik High’s YouTube channel. These appearances are scheduled to be released on each respective YouTube channel around the time of the Mission: Impossible 8 premiere.
