I’ve only seen a few threads on this on reddit, but the whole thing that was especially prominent in 2nd gen with male idols openly crushing on younger female idols or just being creepy towards them was so insane. I always heard about Heechul being interested in Sohee since she was a minor, or Leeteuk being weird to Yoona, Sooyoung, & Krystal, Eunhyuk in picture leaked by IU, she was 19 at the time, he was in his late 20s (she was an adult, but I still found it dodgy), 2AM’s Changmin mentioning how he’d wait for KARA’s Jiyoung to be legal, or even during 3rd gen, with Dean being interested in Tzuyu when she was only 17 at the time, but one that I never see mentioned is Junho 2pm crushing on Krystal when he was 21 and she was 17, (or just in general all the male idols who openly crushed on Krystal when she was a minor, like SS501’s Kim Hyunjoong I’m pretty sure) but I really really hope I’m not reading into this and just misinterpreted it, because I just can’t see Junho doing something like that, so please correct me if I’m wrong on this, but I’m hoping someone else noticed this.

Perhaps this is a stretch, but I also found it weird when KARA’s Seungyeon who was in her late 20s at the time, mentioned that 17 year old Jungkook “made noona’s heart flutter”, when they spoke about idols they were keeping an eye on, or her crushing on Jimin when he was 19 and she was 26 (once again, he was an adult, but still weird) and the host even added “Hopefully he becomes an adult faster”, when discussing Jungkook, but once again I could’ve misinterpreted this, this could very well be a language barrier/ mistranslation.

Anyways, it’s one of the reasons I’m grateful that the variety shows we used to have are gone, because it was far too normalized to creep on younger idols, particularly female ones, and often times male idols such as Taemin. Please let me know if I’m reading too much into things, but these are things that I found weird, and I hate how easily it was over looked.

Can’t link the video, but you can easily find it online, he was 24, she was 17, and he mentioned her being the one he liked in Twice, and looked quite flustered.
