[theqoo] [EXCLUSIVE] THERE'S A REASON WHY 'JAPANESE ROCKSTAR' MIYAVI WAS MOVING TO SEOUL... K-DRAMA DEBUT IN "THE LANDLORD"

According to a report by SPOTV News on the 18th, popular Japanese musician Miyavi has been cast in the drama "The Landlord".

The Landlord is a thriller drama that tells the story of a struggling landlord, burdened with debt, who becomes involved in crime in order to protect his building and his beloved family. Although he achieves the dream of becoming a building owner, a goal many aspire to, the reality is far from glamorous, as he ends up getting caught in a kidnapping incident.

In the drama, Miyavi plays Morgan Lee, the executive director of Real Capital. This marks Miyavi’s first appearance in a Korean drama. He is expected to deliver a powerful performance alongside actors Ha Jung-woo and Shim Eun-kyung, and anticipation is high for his scene-stealing presence.

Miyavi is of mixed Korean heritage, with Korean grandparents and a second-generation Korean-Japanese father from Jeju Island. Recently, his wife, singer Melody, announced that their family has relocated to Seoul. With Miyavi’s first foray into Korean dramas through Building Owner, expectations are rising for the start of his full-fledged activities in Korea.
