Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soohyun have today filed additional lawsuits and complaints against Kim Se-ui, the operator of the YouTube channel Garosero, and the bereaved family of the late actress Kim Saeron, on charges of false accusation.
As is widely known, on May 7, 2025, at around 2:00 PM, Kim Seui held a press conference where he played an audio recording allegedly using AI deep voice technology to fabricate the voice of the late actress Kim Saeron. During this conference, he claimed that “actor Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron had been dating since middle school, and there is an audio recording to support this,” and that “Kim Soohyun’s side offered 4 billion KRW (approximately 3 million USD) to the source of the recording in exchange for the file, and when the source refused, they attempted to have him killed by hiring two hitmen.” These are completely absurd and false statements.
Furthermore, based on this fabricated audio file, Kim Se-ui and the bereaved family of the late Kim Saeron went so far as to file a criminal complaint against actor Kim Soohyun for false accusation and violating the Child Welfare Act. This is clearly an act of false accusation.
Forging evidence is already a serious crime, but filing a criminal complaint based on forged evidence is an even more serious offense. Gold Medalist and actor Kim Soohyun wish to inform the public that they have promptly taken additional legal action against Kim Se-ui and the bereaved family of the late Kim Saeron, and will do everything in their power to ensure that they are held accountable under the law and according to due process.
