[theqoo] THE YG PRODUCER WHO HAS GONE MISSING FOR 10 YEARS AND COUNTING...

Perry

He was responsible for composing songs during YG’s early days for artists like Jinusean, 1TYM, Se7en, Lexy, Wheesung, and others.
Some of his well-known works include Lexy’s “Amateur” and 1TYM’s “One Time.”
He also composed a few songs for BigBang’s early debut era, such as “Wrong Number” and “How Gee.”

Current whereabouts:

According to Perry’s nephew in 2021, Perry was last seen in Los Angeles in 2010 and has been missing ever since. A missing person report was filed with the US Department of State, but there has been no news to this day.

According to comments left by the nephew, people in Guam, where the rest of the family lives, have not seen Perry in years, so there’s virtually no chance he returned there. The family actually believes he might be in Korea. However, this directly contradicts earlier statements made by Masta Wu and Choice37, who suggested otherwise.

The bottom line is: no one really knows where he is.

About two years after that post, the nephew tweeted again, saying that since they couldn’t pinpoint his last known location, they were unable to file a police report, and instead submitted a missing person report through another government agency, even speaking with some law enforcement officials, who unfortunately couldn’t offer much help.

At first, the family assumed Perry just wanted to be left alone and respected his space, even when he avoided contact. But when he failed to appear at important family events like funerals, they began to grow concerned.

Now, more than 10 years later, they’ve started publicly looking for him. However, the nephew repeatedly quoted on Twitter that he and the family fear what they might find if they dig too deep, which suggests they aren’t optimistic about his whereabouts.

This is largely because they don’t even know which country he’s living in. That’s why they initially reported him missing to the State Department instead of the police.

Even if Perry were found and living a normal life, if he refused to disclose his whereabouts, the police wouldn’t be able to intervene due to legal privacy protections.

He has been missing since 2010
(He released his last song with YG in 2010, and was effectively no longer under contract by 2013. Artists have also said in interviews that they haven’t been able to contact him at all, they only vaguely heard that he went back to the US)
His family has been searching and filed a missing person report years ago, but there hasn't been any real progress.

original post: here

1. What is happening?

2. He probably just started a new life somewhere else!

3. That's kinda creepy

4. This is a real disappearance

5. I happened to come across something about this person on YouTube once. If he just disappeared on his own, then I guess that’s a relief, but if not, and something bad happened to him because of someone else, that’s really terrifying. He must have family, too...

6. Seriously were did he go..?

7. Wow wasn’t he basically one of the founding figures of YG and its very identity…?? He made really great music too

8. People have been talking about this for years, but I guess there’s still no news ã…  Perry basically built one of the pillars of YG, so it’s really strange how he just suddenly disappeared

9. Hul... I really hope he's alive living well somewhere

10. This is such an old post, I guess he still hasn't been found??
