KATSEYE, a multinational group under entertainment agency HYBE and produced by HYBE Chairman Bang Sihyuk, is facing criticism for intentionally inserting mo*ning sounds, presumably s****l, into its new song.
The song in question is "Gnarly," a track from KATSEYE's second EP, "Beautiful Chaos," released on April 30th. The song features an aggressive sound in the hyperpop dance genre.
The composition was composed by Chinese hyperpop musicians Alice Longyu Gao, Pink Slip, Slow Rabbit, and Hitman Bang.
"Gnarly" begins with a female mo*n. This same mo*n also appears in the middle of the song.

The fact that Yoonchae (17), a min*r Korean member of KATSEYE, is also a member has further fueled the controversy. With Chairman Bang listed as the composer and producer (Hitman' Bang) of "Gnarly," it seems difficult to avoid ethical criticism.
A music industry insider stated, "Given the structure where the producer approves the final song, it's difficult to explain unless it was intentional," adding, "Chairman Bang could not have been unaware of this."
