On the July 7th episode of MBN’s Oh Eun-young Stay, Hani appeared in episode 3 and shared her feelings as she was introduced with the keyword “nunchi” (social awareness or tact).
When Dr. Oh Eun-young asked, “Nunchi? About who?”, Hani revealed it was her and explained, “I tend to be very sensitive to others and read the room a lot.”
Hani added, “But now, I want to stop being so overly concerned with that,” and continued, “It’s exhausting, but I think I was in an environment (the entertainment industry) where I had no choice but to keep doing it.”
She went on to say, “Lately, through various experiences in life, I’ve been feeling more and more that things don’t always go the way I want them to.”
Soon after, a video segment announced Hani’s upcoming marriage, subtly revealing that the reason she has been even more cautious lately is related to the postponement of her wedding.
Hani said, “I realized I don’t really have control over the things that happen to me. And with that, I think I’ve naturally started to let go of the desire to control my life.” However, she cautiously added, “But... is it really okay to live like that?”sharing her deep internal struggle.
Hani had planned to marry Yang Jae-woong, a psychiatrist and broadcaster who is older than her and whom she had been dating for four years, in September of last year. However, their wedding was indefinitely postponed after a patient at the psychiatric hospital where Yang serves as director d**d due to a medical accident.
