[theqoo] KIM JAEJOONG'S JUDGING THAT IS RECEIVING BACKLASH FROM INTERNATIONAL FANS

In the end, the trainee left the show, of course, not because of that, but the QRTs are going insane

Hello, dear Star Creators. This is Hanyu^^
Even as I write this letter, it feels like the stage lights are still flashing before my eyes, and I can still feel the nervous excitement of my first appearance on <BOYS PLANET>. I've also come to realize that my journey on <BOYS PLANET> is coming to an end with this letter.

Although I've had to stop here for now, participating in <BOYS PLANET> has become a cherished memory in my life. Celebrating my 21st birthday on set with the other contestants was the most meaningful birthday I’ve had since joining my company, and through this recording, I discovered a whole new, richer world. I'm so happy to have made new friends as well.

On the stage filled with countless dreams and sweat, under the shining lights and the ever-rolling cameras, I faced the unfamiliar yet familiar sounds of cheering. In that moment, I felt both nervous and excited. As the memories of every stage I stood on with the boys flashed through my mind, I was overwhelmed with emotion.

It truly saddens me that I couldn’t stay until the final moments with Zhaohao and Xinlong and show everyone an even more perfect version of myself. But! Beyond the sadness and regret, what I feel most right now is gratitude.

I am deeply thankful to <BOYS PLANET> for giving me such a precious stage. Here, I experienced new challenges, overcame countless limits, and grew under immense pressure. The late-night shoots, the desperate desire to perfect the stage, and each and every pointed comment from the Masters helped me grow tremendously. This experience will remain one of the most unforgettable memories of my life.

And to our Bosses who have supported me unwaveringly until now, thank you from the bottom of my heart. From our first meeting in 2017 until now… Through every bit of growth, every stage, and even the moments when I nearly collapsed, your endless support and attention gave me strength and courage. Even when I showed imperfections or felt lost, your words of encouragement never failed me. That was the greatest force that allowed me to be where I am today.

We’ve always walked together, I know that.
You are my eternal source of strength.

To my teammates who worked so hard alongside me, thank you. Because we leaned on each other and never stopped trying, we were able to form the best team and create unforgettable memories. I will always cheer for my fellow teammates and hope they continue to shine brightly on stage!

To the producers, writers, staff, and especially the dear Masters, thank you. Unlike us who were exhausted after filming, I can't even imagine how much more work the production staff had to do afterward. Thank you sincerely for the generous support and guidance you gave our team, and for helping us become the best team we could be. You worked so hard.

Lastly, Zhaohao, Xinlong, don’t feel burdened and give it your all until the very end!!! (Though I know you’ll do great even without me saying so!)

This journey is only a pause, not the final stop of my dream, but the starting point of a new beginning.
My stage on <BOYS PLANET> may be over, but in my heart, it has just begun.
I will keep running forward, and I hope we can meet again on the same stage someday!

The challenge of <BOYS PLANET> may have ended, but Hanwi’s story is just now turning to a brand-new chapter.

Overseas, rumors are spreading that Kim Jaejoong openly criticized a trainee's appearance on the show, which led to them being eliminated. Plus, some truly unspeakable insults are being retweeted...

original post: here

1. But he really was so rude, is he sitting there just to judge people's looks?

2. Seriously if you watch Kim Jaejoong's judging on BOPL2, he really doesn't speaks prettily

3. Openly criticizing someone's appearance on a broadcast, and not even realizing it's a problem because it's a show about picking idols... No wonder people end up developing appearance-related issues

4. Kim Jaejoong was a bit off-putting because he bluntly told someone to lose weight for visual reasons, but the choreographer said something like, ‘If there's too much weight in performance, it increases the risk of injury, and if you're lighter, your dance lines show better, so it'd be good to lose some,’ which didn’t come across as negative. It seems like the way it was said made all the difference

5. But is that even considered fat? Maybe he's just chubby from his face, because you really can't tell from his arms

6. Even if he has the right to say it, he could’ve said it after the show. Saying something like that in a place like that is just too much… Even if he’s old enough to be their parent, if he’s someone appearing on a broadcast, he should really think before speaking. ã…  Park Jinyoung said it was for the sake of dancing, but this just came off as flat-out judging their face and body, which feels completely different

7. They were a team that worked hard and did well on stage. They were a team you naturally want to root for, so ending the evaluation with 'lose weight' felt a bit off… Honestly, comments like that are probably common in the industry, and the judge likely meant it without any bad intentions, just to help them do better next time. But from a viewer's perspective, the way it came across was disappointing

8. What in the world? He's literally judging his face

9. This isn't something you should say on broadcast...

10. He's being realistic but this isn't for broadcast... They should've edited that out
