In their petition, the members stated, “Telling us to return to ADOR is like telling a school bullying victim to go back to the place where their abuser is.” They added, “The staff who worked with us have already resigned, and the current ADOR does not sincerely listen to our voices. Can you really tell them, ‘It’s a contract, so you have to come out and sing and dance’? Do the members not have any personal rights?” expressing strong resistance to the idea of returning to ADOR.

NewJeans’ side also said, “The members have completely lost fundamental trust in ADOR.” However, they clarified, “It’s not that we’re saying we’ll never go back. If ADOR were to return to the form that the members once trusted and relied on, they’d go back even if told not to. But the ADOR that exists now is completely under HYBE’s control.”
