It happened a few years ago. A broadcast station’s waiting room was thrown into chaos. The voices of murmuring staff and frantic managers filled the space.
“Please, stay with us!”
“Someone call 911!”
In one corner of the waiting room, a member of a boy group, referred to here as Member A, had collapsed, seemingly unconscious. As A slowly lost consciousness, Member B from the same group lifted him up in a panic. With B's support, A eventually regained consciousness, and in his eyes, only B’s face was visible.
Sensing something unusual, their manager cleared the room of all other members and staff. But what could be heard from inside between A and B was far from ordinary.
“How could you do this to me?” (A)
“I told you not to act like that during the broadcast!” (B)
“If I like you, can’t I act that way?” (A)
At that moment, B stormed out of the room. It turned out that A and B were in a same-s** relationship, one so serious even the company hadn’t been able to stop it.
Because the two were the most popular members of the group, the agency couldn’t afford the massive loss that would come with removing them. Caught in a bind, the agency had no choice but to take on the role of silently protecting their secret relationship.
What shocked everyone even more was that, due to this lovers’ quarrel breaking out at a music show taping, the entire group was unable to perform on stage that day.
There was even an incident where calm and composed B, unlike the usually bold A, suddenly transformed into a rough, macho type. They were appearing together on a YouTube variety show, and during filming, they exchanged secret signals with each other. But when A pretended not to notice B’s signal, B got angry and stormed off set. Given B’s normally quiet demeanor, it was something that would’ve been unimaginable, so much so that people on set described it as an “unprecedented display of affection.”
