Dear HYBE Members,

Hello everyone, this is Bang Sihyuk.
It’s been a while since I last reached out to you via email.

Due to a series of events that began last year, and more recently some personal matters of mine, both the company and my name have been continuously mentioned in a negative light in the news. I can only imagine the confusion, sense of loss, and concern this must have caused those of you who take great pride in being part of HYBE. As the founder and chairman, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility for causing you such distress. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize to all of you who may have been unsettled by these circumstances.

HYBE was the starting point of my journey to realize the ideals and dreams I’ve held as a creator. I wanted to present works that fully reflected my own creative identity and to build a stage where artists could freely pursue their dreams. I also hoped to improve the quality of life for industry professionals so that everyone could feel happiness and pride in their work. What started as a small endeavor grew with the intent to be a strong support system for creators, artists, members like yourselves, and everyone in the industry. Thankfully, it has continued to grow thanks to your empathy and support.

Because this work began with a grand dream and a strong sense of purpose, to advance the music industry, I have always strived to act with integrity. However, I humbly reflect on the fact that what I considered confidence may have come across as arrogance at times. I’m taking a hard look at myself to identify any shortcomings or oversights that may have occurred during our journey of growth.

Though I was fully aware of the concern I was causing, the past few months have been painful for me as well, as I wasn’t able to respond swiftly or thoroughly to various suspicions and controversies. I have felt especially remorseful knowing that due to personal issues of mine, our creators and artists, who should be focused solely on their craft and business, might be affected, directly or indirectly. As a creator myself, this has been deeply distressing. I ask for your understanding that, given the ongoing investigation by the authorities, I had to be cautious with every word I spoke.

However, more than anyone, I know that I cannot allow my personal matters to continue burdening the company and the industry. Over the past few years, I have had to spend extended periods overseas due to urgent production and business meetings for our artists’ comebacks and company expansion. But I will now put those on hold and return to Korea as soon as possible to fully cooperate with the authorities. As I did during the financial authorities’ previous investigation, I will once again explain the circumstances surrounding the IPO in detail and sincerely respond to the investigation. I expect that through this process, the facts will be clarified, and I will humbly await the authorities’ judgment.

To all HYBE members who have steadfastly stayed in your roles despite the confusion, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your dedication, the relentless passion of our creators, and the brilliant activities of our artists are the most powerful driving forces behind HYBE. The remarkable achievements we are making both domestically and internationally would not be possible without the efforts of each and every one of you. I have deep respect for the sincerity and capabilities of those of you who are building a globally recognized content industry from the intangible asset of music.

I will do everything I can to explain and resolve this situation, so that my personal matters do not become an obstacle to your talents, abilities, or spirit of challenge. I will not forget that my role is to ensure that you can focus solely on your creative and business pursuits. And just like every member of HYBE, I will also continue to reflect and stay committed to the development of music and the industry, without losing the original intent with which I started.

To all HYBE members who continue to shine in your respective roles, I once again offer my deepest apologies and heartfelt thanks.
