[instiz] WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP TELLING SM TO GIVE UP ON THE U.S. MARKET?ㅋㅋㅋ...

(pic not included)

The U.S. is the most profitable market, and if an entertainment company wants to scale up, it makes sense to keep trying to expand its share overseas. It's not about saying, "You couldn't do it before, just stick to the domestic market." It's about figuring out how to capture it from now on.

HYBE and SM are leagues apart when it comes to overseas tours, but their total revenues are only about twice different. That means if SM manages to tap into the global market more, its revenue could become almost equal to HYBE's (though HYBE's would increase even more if BTS resumes full group activities)

1. That's what I've been saying. I find it fascinating. They are doing the right thing to keep on trying things again and again. People are always passing sarcastic comments every time the U.S. is brought up

2. Even if some people look down on them, they keep trying. It's just that nothing has been fruitful yet

3. They get hated on by people telling them "How can you not enter the U.S. market?", but when they try, people continue to nitpickㅋㅋㅋ It's hilarious

4. It's because they never hit big over there properly. They keep starting and stopping, and starting and stopping. They really need to stop doing that, can someone please tell them?

5. I'm a fan of a HYBE group, but I still think SM and other companies (including HYBE) absolutely need to keep working on expanding overseas. It's better for Korean companies to secure that global share, especially now that Japan, China, and Southeast Asia are rising fast. K-pop might not have it easy for much longer. I genuinely hope all domestic companies do well.

6. I was so frustrated with SM back then when I was a fan, because they would never advance overseas. So it's fascinating to me that people are hating on them now that they are trying to go overseas... It's true that the best thing to do it to keep on trying whether or not it works

7. They should try longer than they did before. And if they are going to try, they should try until they succeed

8. Right? Even if they fail, they need to try again. People tell them to get ahold of the domestic market but the domestic market is small and they barely have any more pie piece to share

9. What people say on community sites is meaningless. If they want to grow their entertainment business, they must go overseas

10. If they want to enter North America, they need to perform live. They have been in the industry for a while so if they continue to lip sync, they will just get hate
