I know most people here are unserious about life and the future in general, but I've been following the advent of AI and with how AI's godfather (Geoffrey Hinton, you can Google him) has been everywhere almost whistleblowing on OpenAI and AI in general, I can't help but follow what's happening in the world.
I almost feel like our concerns are misdirected and with ipad kids becoming dumber and dumber, I really fear for our future generation.
I'm not going. For those who haven't watch or read about AI 2027, the future is pretty bleak for us. We're talking about humans become jobless (the literal sense of it) and superhuman AI agents creating bioweapons to eradicate humans once we realize the safety concerns it poses to humanity.
I know it all sounds very overblown, but unemployment is a real thing. And working in tech, I can guarantee you that every executive in every tech company is talking about replacing most of us.
Anyways, I know it's impossible to eradicate unserious/trolling comments in the comment section but would like to know if you guys ever even worry about the advance of technology.
