On the August 20 episode of the tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block (hereafter You Quiz), actress Kim Taehee appeared on a talk show for the first time in 15 years and shared various stories.

She appeared on You Quiz ahead of the release of the Amazon Prime Video series Butterfly. However, instead of focusing on Kim Taehee's acting and her upcoming project, the show mostly covered unrelated topics, prompting criticism from some viewers.

Kim Taehee shared updates on her life, saying, “I went to New York for promotions as the US drama is about to be released.” After briefly touching on the plot and how she was cast for the role, the conversation quickly shifted to stories about her husband, Rain.

Netizens criticized the show, saying, “Can’t they ask anything other than about her looks and education?”, “Talking about Seoul National University is decades old now,” “There seemed to be more talk about Rain,” and “Please improve the quality of the questions.”

However, some defended the episode, commenting, “For people who don’t know her well, it was fresh,” and “This might actually promote the show better.”

On the 18th, it was announced that Bill Gates, the globally renowned philanthropist and co-founder of Microsoft, would also appear on You Quiz, drawing attention and curiosity about what kind of stories will be shared in that episode.

2. I watched the episode out of curiosity for the guest but it's a shame that it was so lacking
