I don't wanna sound like it's a forced hate so I'll be careful with my words
Last time, at the award show, she was caught giggling after winning the grand prize, and Ningning and Giselle had to smooth things over. (It was especially awkward because it happened when Karina was already under fire for her alleged political stance, so public opinion was tense.)
When they did the encore stage for "Dirty Work," she made a lyrics mistake but just brushed it off with laughter.
And now at the GMA stage, the choreography got messed up, and seeing her laugh again was a bit disappointing.
aespa members have good chemistry, and fans like that playful high school girl vibe,
so sometimes it feels like the group’s core energy can go overboard.
Since Karina is the leader and also the oldest, she should be the one to hold things together when things need to be serious,
but that side of her seems lacking.
It's something people have pointed out for a long time, but nothing seems to have changed…
Her skills are fine, if she trains harder and improve her stage quality, public opinion will follow.
But in situations like this, I think she needs to be a bit more careful with her attitude.

You just don't see her yearn for it enough, it's like she lacks sincerity and urgency. Maybe she just can't act in the moment, but that's the impression Karina makes

Speaking honestly from the perspective of a total muggle, aespa right now just doesn’t seem to have any sense of urgency or hunger, and that kind of creates a barrier... Of course, they’re currently at the top in Korea, so maybe they don’t feel like they’re aware they lack anything. But if you look at BLACKPINK, who are way more successful globally, you can still see that they give it their all every time they perform or attend an awards show. It’s true that aespa blew up with their fun and cool image, but these days, because we don’t see any serious side of them, that same image is starting to backfire, it feels… ã… ã… ã…

It's because you guys were still cooing her during the award show that it came down to this. You think I don't like Karina myself? She's my favorite idol of all the 4th gen, but this is just wrong, who would like an idol with no manners? You guys need to stop babying celebrities

To be honest, I wish she would act more professionally off-stage as well. These days, when I watch aespa's performances, it doesn't feel like they're trying to show something to the audience, it feels more like they're just immersed in being idols themselves. Naturally, that makes the performance less entertaining to watch. It also seems like they've developed a habit of brushing off mistakes with laughter or jokes, but I think they should seriously consider how that kind of attitude comes across to the public. Reflecting on this might actually help their image, too

"I'm a MY, but I was honestly really shocked. At a festival last year, I thought, 'Are they finally starting to sing live?' but then they go to the US and still lip-sync... At least hire some backup dancers or something. I just wish they'd realize that no matter how much of a fan I am, I can't defend everything they do. I hope they perform with that in mind. It's already their 6th year if you count by debut year, but their performances feel more and more half-hearted as time goes on... Even the way they laugh during award shows. Lately, I'm starting to feel a bit embarrassed as a fan."
> If they at least danced synchronized, the stage would feel more full..
> Seirously the way they burst out laughing at any mistake needs to be corrected. Also people need to stop brushing off their laughter as aegyo..
