There’s this wild tweet blowin’ up with 6.1M views from a Korean user @ggrxxxxxx : “중국팬들은요 나사가숨기는비밀을알고있을지도모르는수준으로대단한걸많이알고있어요” — which translates to “Chinese fans know a ton of amazing stuff, maybe even NASA-level secrets!” The context here was, they’re talkin’ about an Instiz post where a Chinese netizen on Weibo leaked a song list for a recent survival show, and it was 100% on point.

Pannchoa hasn’t spilled on this yet, but I’m just sayin’, even Koreans are shook by how Chinese netizens are straight-up detectives when it comes to K-pop secrets. Sure, Weibo’s got its share of fake rumors like that Jennie-Mingyu nonsense, but Chinese fans were the first to shut it down before it even hit Chinese media ‘cause it was totally fake. That shows they’re not just about spreading gossip; they’re also fact-checking their own.

On the other hand, they’re also the ones sniffin’ out real dirt, like Lisa and Frédéric’s rumors, and many other rumors, way before K-media even got a whiff. Chinese netizens seem to have zero chill when it comes to leaking K-pop tea. Also China’s looser online vibe compared to Korea’s stricter defamation laws lets fans post with less fear of getting slapped with a lawsuit.
