Hi, Pannchoa! I was tuned in for Idntt’s debut and stumbled across a thread for their predebut about a member’s exposé. In short, he would coerce girls born in 2007/08 to sleep with him, degrade women for s**/call them slurs (ie: b*tch), openly followed NSFW accounts on his socials and is a known smoker. This is very telling, as boy groups and their members have no strangers to similar controversies.

Think of RIIZE’s Seunghan and IDID’s Junhwan. When both were exposed, they were either given a solo career and struggle with relevancy (Seunghan) or fade into obscurity completely (Junhwan) over mistreating women. I would like to inform anyone consider getting into Idntt to be mindful that Hwangbo is not in the current line up, but is still present at Modhaus and is currently on hiatus.

I’m very grateful I found this information early on and will reconsider my stance on supporting the group. I would prefer if he were let go so I could openly keep up with Idntt since I enjoyed their debut album and think they should succeed, but I value the livelihood and rights of women more than any male idol by default. No man on the planet is worth fighting for just because you like him or his group’s music.

I think this story is very important and will bring attention to the general public to be more hesitant before stabbing certain groups– B2P’s Leo is looking to share a similar fate, since I found his own mi**gynistic scandal distasteful upon discovering it too. That debut group is in for a tragic fate for their own at the rate things are going. Trying to cater to women while being against them is just disturbing and should never be taken lightly, especially in political climate.
