[PC stories/KPOP takes] PRETTY PRIVILEGE AND HAVING A GOOD CONCEPT CAN ONLY GET YOU SO FAR

KiiiKiii and Meovv are super pretty, and have such good creative direction, but the quality of their music is mediocre at best. With Meovv and KiiiKii, I felt like both had strong title tracks but they didn't really break barriers with their debut. Meovv was the same teddy slop that only really works for Blackpink and KiiiKiii gave a good title track but it was boring and aged badly. Both groups also have terrible b-sides, like just so unlistenable that it hurts. I really wish companies would prioritize the music first and not the concept.

For example, Red Velvet are all super pretty and have a good concept, but their music is actually high quality and well produced. This is why they have a strong core fandom because the music is good so people anticipate their releases.

These 2 groups only have 1 more comeback to capture the GP before they fade into obscurity. With kiiikiii the new song is good, but it's not a standout release. With Meovv, teddy started to push them in variety, but I feel they need to release better b-sides to do well.
