[PC stories/Life] DON'T FOLLOW YOUR PASSION

I was reading this article (just kidding, watching a reel) about a graduation ceremony for an engineering class. The speaker said something along the lines of: What if you like what you do because you're good at it, and not the other way around? He said, "Follow your contribution. Find the thing you're great at, and contribute to others".

That right there is basically my life philosophy. I love the people around me, and I want to do things that help them. I also agree with James Baldwin that love has never been a popular movement and that the world is really held together by the love and passion of very few people. I want to be one of them.

Buut I wasted a lot of time chasing what I believed I "loved"... and in the end, I was never really good enough at any of the things I was passionate about. So, last minute, I changed direction and studied something I was just okay at, and ended up in a job where, every day, I think: "I should be better at this.!!"

It sucks being stuck in the middle... Not doing what I love, and also not doing something I'm actually great at. But hey... a girl’s gotta live :)
