Representative Bae proposed a Korean-style Coogan Law this past June, which would require 50% of a minor entertainer’s income to be placed in a mandatory trust until they become legal adults. The goal is to prevent a repeat of cases like that of the late actress Kim Sa-ron, who earned significant income as a child actor but later suffered financial hardship due to the lack of a proper income protection system.

In the United States, the Coogan Law has been in place since 1939, requiring 15% of a minor actor’s earnings to be placed in a trust. The system also prevents withdrawals without a court order, thereby protecting the financial assets of underage entertainers.

2. Kim Saeron must have made a lot of money because her father bought a small building in Gangnam with his daughter's money when her daughter was still a child model and her face wasn't even know
