According to a report by SPOTV News on the 9th, Kasamatsu Sho has been cast in SBS’s new drama Taxi Driver 3 (written by Oh Sang-ho, directed by Kang Bo-seung), marking his first appearance in a Korean drama.

Following the huge success of seasons 1 and 2, Taxi Driver 3 is currently in preparation for launch. With Lee Je-hoon at the forefront, the full "Rainbow Taxi" crew:Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram, will reunite and expand the storyline globally. Notably, Japan’s beloved veteran actor Takenaka Naoto is also joining the cast, with overseas filming scheduled in Japan, promising a bigger and more ambitious season.

Kasamatsu Sho, one of Japan’s rising stars, is expected to be a key "cheat code" for the upcoming season. His performance in Taxi Driver 3 is highly anticipated, as it will mark his Korean drama debut and showcase his powerful acting.

Kasamatsu is also drawing attention for his role in director Byun Sung-hyun’s upcoming film Good News, which will premiere on Netflix on October 17. Recently, he appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival alongside Sul Kyung-gu and Hong Kyung and impressed audiences with his fluent Korean while expressing his deep affection for Korea and his experience filming Good News.

Through various interviews, he has shared his admiration for Korean actors and directors. Reportedly self-taught in Korean, Kasamatsu has recommended films by Bong Joon-ho, Park Chan-wook, and Na Hong-jin. He has also frequently mentioned being a fan of actors Ha Jung-woo and Kang Dong-won.
