[theqoo] HA JUNGWOO AND GONG HYOJIN WHO WORE SUNGLASSES AND ARRIVED TO AN EVENT 14 MIN LATE, NO APOLOGY

Actors Ha Jungwoo, Gong Hyojin, and Kim Dongwook from the film ‘The People Upstairs’ met with Busan audiences. They previewed the film, scheduled for release at year's end, during an open talk event. Regrettably, the actors arrived about 15 minutes late, and despite many audience members waiting, they offered not a single proper apology.

The open talk for the film ‘The People Upstairs’ was held at 11 AM on the 19th at the outdoor stage of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu, Busan. Director and producer Ha Jungwoo, along with lead actors Gong Hyojin and Kim Dongwook, attended the event. The event was also broadcast live.

Attention was focused on the appearance of these beloved actors. With a large audience gathered, the host took the stage first and offered a brief greeting. The host then announced that the actors were running late due to Busan's traffic congestion. The actors arrived on stage at 11:14 AM, exactly 14 minutes past the scheduled start time of 11:00 AM.

The area near U-dong in Busan's Haeundae-gu, where the actual festival events are held, is indeed heavily congested with vehicles. Traffic control measures near the Busan Cinema Center particularly contribute to heavier traffic than usual. Given that the actors were also moving together according to a schedule, their delay is not entirely difficult to understand.

What was disappointing was that the actors began the open talk without a single word of apology. They greeted the audience with remarks about Busan's nice weather and their thoughts on attending the festival, but there was no apology for the audience who had waited for about 15 minutes.

Despite the overcast skies, Ha Jungwoo and Gong Hyojin took the stage wearing sunglasses. While sunglasses are a universally accepted fashion choice, it was a bit disappointing for the audience who came specifically to see the actors' faces. Gong Hyojin briefly removed her sunglasses to make eye contact with the audience, but Ha Jungwoo never took his off even once.
