[theqoo] HONG YOUNGGI 'WHO GOT PREGNANT IN HER 20S', "MY HUSBAND WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL"

Hong Younggi recently revealed on the newly released YouTube variety show ‘Pajama Party’ that when she found out she was pregnant at a young age, she confessed, “Honestly, all I could think was ‘I'm screwed.’”

She continued, laughing, “My husband was still in high school back then, right? And I was right in the middle of my prime.”

Hong Younggi recalled, “I was terrified about how to tell my mom and dad. But when I told my dad, he just said, ‘Hmm, I see. It's okay.’ My mom, who was a devout Christian, didn't come out of her room for three days.”

Hong Younggi emphasized, “From my mother-in-law's perspective, her son's girlfriend getting pregnant while he was in high school must have been devastating. But no amount of persuasion could sway me. I just felt the life was precious. This wasn't something I could choose. I simply thought I had to give birth.”

Regarding her husband's reaction, she laughed, “My husband was just happy about it. It was a time when I was the only one agonizing over it.”

Hong Younggi tearfully shared, “Being a Christian, it was hard when people criticized the Christian faith because of me, asking ‘How could she act that way?’”

Born in 1992, Hong Younggi became pregnant before marriage in 2012 at age 20. Her husband Lee Seyong, born in 1995, was a high school student at the time. The couple debuted together in 2009 on Comedy TV's ‘Pretty Face Era’ Season 1. They welcomed their first son in 2013.
