Singer Lee Daehwi and Bae Jinyoung hint at the possibility of a Wanna One reunion.
On the 22nd, a video titled “Lee Dae-hwi, who already has Wanna One’s comeback plan figured out, and Bae Jinyoung, who agreed to take the lead” was uploaded to Eunhyuk and Donghae’s YouTube channel.
Eunhyuk said, “Sungwoon came by and talked about Wanna One in such a fun way. He said those days were really good,” adding, “Since the promotion period was fixed, there must have been even more regrets.”
Lee Daehwi commented, “It felt emotional from the very beginning of our debut. It was heartbreaking knowing we were headed toward a goodbye. Although the members still see each other often, there’s always that lingering sadness because fans don’t know when they’ll see all 11 of us together again.” He added, “Among ourselves, we always say we should reunite someday. The members' feelings are 100% aligned.”
When Eunhyuk asked, “Is there a member who’s really pushing for a reunion?” Lee Daehwi answered, “That would be Sungwoon hyung.” He also shared, “All the members are still in a group chat. Some leave and come back in from time to time,” showing that their friendship remains strong.
On the other hand, Bae Jinyoung confessed, “I never talk in the group chat. I just lurk. Whenever I say something, I end up getting attacked for no reason.” To that, Lee Daehwi expressed his genuine feelings, saying, “But I really hope we can reunite.”
Lee Daehwi also explained, “All the older members need to finish their military service. The hyung line will all be discharged by 2027, which is also our 10th anniversary,” and added, “Still, we can’t just keep fans waiting forever. But I think as long as we keep talking about it like this, maybe it’ll actually happen.”
He emphasized, “If we do reunite, it’s not going to be about the money. Even if the conditions aren’t ideal, I’d still want to do it together.”
Lee Daehwi also shared an update on Lai Guanlin, saying, “He’s directing dramas now. He’s completely retired from the entertainment industry.”
