Cases like Gong Hyojin’s, where pets are injured on moving walkways or escalators, occur from time to time. Smaller dogs, in particular, are more prone to getting their toenails caught or legs stuck, which can lead to nail damage or fractures.

Experts advise that when using moving walkways, pet owners should always carry their pets or keep a firm hold on the leash while paying close attention to their steps. The gaps and movement of the walkways can be faster and more slippery than expected, easily causing pets to panic or injure themselves.
