[theqoo] OJOGANG'S OFFICIAL STATEMENT (ALL 6 MEMBERS EXCEPT FOR IBUKI)

Amid reports of disagreements between Ibuki, leader of Osaka OjoGang, and the concert production company, the members of Osaka OjoGang have released a statement.

Six members of Osaka OjoGang, excluding Ibuki, posted a statement on their SNS on the 9th, saying, "We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the recent issues."

They explained, "We had planned to proceed with the tour preparations to keep our promise to our fans, 'to stand on stage.' However, we could not receive any explanation regarding the tour contract or schedule from the manager. Later, through contact from Route59, we first learned that negotiations between the manager and the tour organizers were not proceeding properly."

According to the members, Osaka OjoGang was formed around Ibuki for 'Street Woman Fighter 3.' They stated, "Although we were members who had been active individually, during the process of appointing a team manager, Ibuki’s personal manager, who had been with her for a long time, became the manager of Osaka OjoGang. Some members signed an agency contract with the manager after being told it was necessary to appear on the show, but there were members who did not receive any information about it at all."

They continued, "During the broadcast, we did our best with all our strength aiming for victory. However, behind the scenes, numerous problems occurred, such as the manager not paying appearance fees or handling amounts opaquely. Even after the payment deadline passed, salaries were not paid, and without any proper amount being presented, the members’ inquiries went unanswered. During and after filming, numerous job offers came in for Osaka OjoGang and individual members, but most were concentrated on the manager, and we were not shared any information in advance. Additionally, even various projects as Osaka OjoGang and individual members’ activities were canceled under the manager’s control."

The members also revealed, "Upon learning this, the six of us had a long online discussion with Ibuki and the manager. At that meeting, Ibuki apologized to the six and stated, 'I will dismiss the manager.' We believed those words and decided to rebuild trust and have all Osaka OjoGang members participate in the concert. However, that promise was not kept."

They added, "This tour was decided upon by the six of us to perform at the Seoul concert as a way to show our gratitude to the fans who supported us. We judged that it was not desirable to let various speculations and misinformation spread, so we decided to convey the truth through our own voices. We will discuss future activities of Osaka OjoGang again and inform you sincerely. We are deeply sorry for the confusion caused to many fans by this incident."

Earlier, on the 6th and 7th, the Seoul performance of Mnet’s 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (hereinafter 'Street Woman Fighter 3') national tour 'THE REAL STAGE' was held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium. Before the performance, rumors spread that Osaka OjoGang, the winning team of 'Street Woman Fighter 3,' would not attend, but on that day, all members except leader Ibuki attended and performed.

On the afternoon of the 8th, the production company announced through the ticket reservation page that Ibuki would also not attend the Busan concert scheduled for the 13th. In response, Ibuki posted a statement on her account the same night, claiming, "In the process of the concert organizers’ proposal, I was in a situation where I had no right to speak as an artist, and they demanded a contract and took actions that could cause discord among members. I was discussing the future concerts through a Korean lawyer. However, currently, the concert organizers have unilaterally disclosed the information that 'I will not participate in the Busan concert' without formal consultation," accusing the production company of power abuse.

In response, the production company released an official statement on the 9th, refuting, "We have done our best to negotiate for months to realize Osaka OjoGang’s concert participation. However, communication with the manager affiliated with Osaka OjoGang was not smooth during the contract negotiations, and there were several delays in scheduling and contract progress. Additionally, during negotiations, the manager from Osaka OjoGang’s side demanded separate, non-transparent conditions not shared with the members and strongly requested that the contract with the concert production team and members not specify appearance fees."

The following is the full statement from the six members of Osaka OjoGang.

To everyone,

Kyoka, Minami, Uwa, Junna, Hana, Ruu,

We are stating our position.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion caused by the recent issues.

We had planned to proceed with the tour preparations to keep our promise to our fans, "to stand on stage."

However, we could not receive any explanation regarding the tour contract or schedule from the manager.
