Charlie Kirk, a close associate of U.S. President Donald Trump and an icon of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, was shot on the 10th (local time). Kirk was immediately transported to the hospital but d**d. The founder of Turning Point USA, he had recently spoken at a conservative event held in South Korea.
According to U.S. media outlets including The New York Times (NYT), Kirk collapsed after being shot during an event at Utah Valley University in Utah that day. Kirk was rushed to the hospital immediately after the shooting. However, U.S. media reported he died shortly thereafter. The NYT stated the suspect is believed to have fired at Kirk from a distance of about 200 yards (approximately 183 meters).
Video footage circulating on social media platforms like X shows Kirk being shot in the neck area and falling backward during the incident. Kirk was delivering a speech under an outdoor tent at the time.
