[theqoo] WHAT THE YOUNGER GENERATION IS MISUNDERSTANDING TODAY

They think they'll never fall behind in their lifetime.
The delusion that just because they’ve been familiar with digital tech from a young age, they’ll have no issues even as they grow older, and so on.
New features will keep coming out, and even if the digital world continues, the ways we use it and how it evolves will never stop changing.
It's not because people don’t try or because they’re stupid, it's just that, as humans age, their learning speed and reaction time naturally decline compared to when they were young.
Parents asking their children to teach them isn’t out of laziness, it could simply be because learning new things becomes increasingly difficult.
Just like how the speed at which you memorize English vocabulary in your teens differs from that in your 30s or 50s. It's natural.
Yet so many people ignore that and think they’ll always be at their peak.
Just like older people get criticized and mocked as "boomer types" for not understanding younger generations, shouldn’t it also be considered blameworthy when the younger generation ignores or mocks the natural struggles of aging?

"You, too, will grow old one day."
- The Twilight Rebellion from the novel The Tree.

I guarantee you that when people in their 20s and 30s turn 50 and 60 in 30 years, they'll likely be criticized for not having children and for just taking taxes from them.

1. Just looking at it now, it seems like kids are even getting coding toys... I wonder if they'll eventually be unable to do anything without coding

2. I already don't know so many things

3. Even people my age right now, the ones who say stuff like "Ah I don't know, I don't wanna bother" are already falling behind ㅋㅋ

4. Not being able to keep up with the current pace of development isn’t really an age issue, it’s just natural... Even people working in the field probably can’t keep up. It’s not just one area advancing like crazy, every field is like that now. I don’t get why people keep tying this to age...

5. Totally! I also sometimes get confused using kiosks with basically zero UX design. ㅠㅋㅋ e.g., McDonald’s… ugh)
But I used to work part-time at a place with self-checkout machines, and even then, there were some older folks who’d say things like, “Oh, I learned this from my grandkid last time, I need to be able to do it on my own!” And then there were others who’d just go, “I can’t do this, help me.” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I believe the older folks in the first group will naturally get better at it over time. I want to live like that too

6. So I'm not the only one who finds it hard to order at the kioskㅜ I used to be such a quick kid, what happened ㅜ

7. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Ha even games nowadays are like that...I want to get into new games, but I just can't can't memorize anything

8. For real, I'm already having a hard time with kiosks...

9. Nowadays, with all the AI usage, I really can't keep up anymore

10. Me too, I was struggling so hard at the kiosk last time ㅠㅠ
