On the 13th, an online community was once again thrown into a frenzy. This time, a resurfaced clip of Seungri speaking on stage at a Cambodian club event drew renewed attention and shock.
In the released video, Seungri is seen on stage saying:
"When I told my friends I was going to Cambodia, they said, 'Isn't it dangerous?' or 'Why are you going there? It's not even a rich country.' Eat s**t. Come here and see what kind of country Cambodia really is. It's the greatest nation in Asia," finishing with an obscene hand gesture.
What further fueled the controversy is that the stage where Seungri was speaking featured the text "Prince Brewing" and a logo resembling the official emblem of Prince Holdings.
Prince Holdings has recently come under suspicion for deep involvement in international criminal networks. It is reportedly one of the main operators of Prince Compound, a known hub for various crimes such as investment fraud chat rooms, illegal gambling, kidnapping, and confinement, and is also alleged to be involved in money laundering and human tra****cking.
Prince Brewing is a brand under Prince Holdings. Although it’s run locally as a brewery and pub brand, suspicions around its connections remain unresolved. However, it is currently unknown whether Seungri has any direct ties to Prince Brewing or Prince Holdings.
The venue where Seungri attended an event on January 21, 2024, posted a notice on social media saying they would be closed that day for a private event. It was later revealed to be a birthday party and fan meeting, attended by acquaintances and fans. [Nate]
