[enter-talk] I DON'T FEEL PROUD OF BLACKPINK ANYMORE

When BlackPink debuted, I really was shocked at how fresh they were. They felt different from the other girl groups and they looked luxurious and felt like they came from a rich household. They were cool and became objects of admiration for women

Even during Coachella, I thought they were the pride of Korea and K-pop, and I was proud that such an amazing group came from Korea.

But after seeing their outfits and dance moves during this tour, I no longer felt proud. In fact, I felt embarrassed. They'd drifted so far from the Blackpink I knew. I miss their dignified and sophisticated image from their debut days.

It feels like all female idols encounter this issue one they gain seniority, but I don't get it. K-pop's selling point was that it was more conservative than pop music, so everyone from kids to their parents could be fans.

I really hope a group emerges that girls can be fans of and idolize to the end. I hope that group becomes the face of K-pop.

Information: The reality of Western parents is that they find it more vulgar to see K-pop idols wearing school uniform-like clothes and shaking their hips to act 'refreshing'. Blackpink would never engage in such infantilization. They are all age-appropriate and all four of them are like f**king divas and just plain cool

Is BlackPink promoting to make *you* feel proud of them?
