In 1990s America, when it was illegal for gays to serve in the military, Cam, bullied at school for being gay, impulsively enlists in the Marines, following his only friend, Ray. Netflix's new series "Boot Camp" tells the story of Cam, who must hide his homosexuality and survive in a boot camp filled with macho men.

Liam Oh, a mixed-race Korean-Irish actor who plays Cam's only friend, Ray, is portrayed as a mixed-race Korean in the film. He's facing racial dis**mination due to questions about whether his character is Chinese or Japanese with comments like "Chino/Bento".
