Former T-ara member Ahreum (Lee Ah-reum) has received a confirmed sentence for CA and defamation charges.

According to Star News on October 9, the Criminal Division 9 of the Ansan Branch of Suwon District Court sentenced Ahreum to 8 months in prison, suspended for 2 years, on charges ofCA and defamation. She was also ordered to complete 40 hours of CA prevention education.

Ahreum filed an appeal against the first trial verdict, but the court dismissed the appeal.

In March last year, Ahreum publicly accused her ex-husband of CA and domestic violence through social media, after which she attempted s*****e and was transported to a hospital. Following a police investigation, her ex-husband was cleared of CA charges.

Subsequently, the ex-husband filed a complaint against Ahreum and her mother, accusing her of CA and abducting a minor, and also sued for defamation over the public accusations.

The court also sentenced Ahreum's mother, who was indicted without detention on charges of abducting a minor, to 4 months in prison, suspended for 1 year.
