I just don’t buy into the idea of idols dating their own group members. I mean, think about it—spending nearly 24/7 with the same people would drive anyone up the wall! They’re in the same group, working in the same office, living in the same dorm, eating at the same table, sharing the same kitchen and bathroom, and seeing the same faces every single day, all day. Yuck! Even married couples don’t live like that—they’ve got separate jobs, their own space, and time apart. Most people would need a break, don’t spend that much time glued to each other.
Back in my town, tons of couples got divorced during the COVID era because working from home meant they were stuck together all the time, and it led to constant fights. Even after marriage, you need your own space, some me-time to do your own thing without anyone around.
The way K-pop fans theorize about idols dating their group members feels so unrealistic. Some even think they’re still texting each other all the time! Like, you see them at work, you see them at home, and you’re still chatting? Come on, anyone would get sick of that real quick.
