[theqoo] [FLASH REPORT] KOREAN ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT IN CAMBODIA "THEY ESCAPE BUT GET CAUGHT AGAIN AT THE AIRPORT... 10 SOS CALLS PER WEEK"

As incidents of Koreans being kidnapped in Cambodia continue, including the recent case of a Korean university student who d**d after being t**tured, the president of the Korean Association in Cambodia has expressed concern, stating, “We receive around 10 rescue requests a week.”

Jung Myung-gyu, President of the Korean Association in Cambodia, appeared on CBS Radio’s “Kim Hyunjung’s News Show” on the morning of the 13th and said, “Some escape alone, while others flee in groups of two or three and then contact us while hiding together. We're trying to help, but there are so many cases that it's difficult to manage.”

President Jung added, “Some people, fearing they’ll be caught again if they go to the embassy directly, hide and live on the streets. In one case, someone came to the Korean Association after a month in hiding, and we worked with the embassy to get them sent back.”

However, he explained that there are many cases where failed escape attempts lead to people being dragged back by criminal organizations. Jung said, “Sometimes they’re taken again by immigration officials or at the airport, and in those cases, the violence becomes even worse.”

1. Wow seriously you can't even call this a country, this is just horrible

2. It's just gotten revealed in our country lately, so I bet these criminal organizations will be tighter on their hideout now

3. So they can't even leave the country? Crazy

4. Please never go to Cambodia ㅠ This is such a crazy country

5. The way they have people working for them at the airport means that the Cambodian government is no different...

6. Crazy what kind of country is that...?

7. They definitely have ties with Chinese organized crimes

8. Is that really a country?

9. There's been talks about this happening since the beginning ㅜ The state is aiding and abetting or complicit...

10. Sending 10 SOS per day... We should seriously ban any type of tourism to that country no?????
