On the 3rd, actor Kim Soohyun’s legal representative, attorney Ko Sang-rok from law firm Phil, stated on his channel that during his entire military service, the actor focused solely on his then-girlfriend, writing over 150 letters filled with gratitude, apology, and deep affection for her. He added that the letters were full of anticipation for the dates they would have during his leave.
Attorney Ko explained that the reason for releasing these letters was to show that the actor’s emotions at the time were entirely directed toward his girlfriend, with no room for any other feelings.
In particular, regarding the phrase “I miss you” that appeared in a letter allegedly sent by Kim Soohyun to the late Kim Saeron, Ko stated that it was merely a common expression someone serving in the military might use when writing to an acquaintance outside, and that it did not convey romantic feelings or emotional attraction.
He further clarified that if you read the entire letter, it simply talks about his military life and ends with something like, “Yeah, let’s meet up when I’m on leave.” He emphasized that there was no mention of a specific meeting plan, no expression of affection, and no emotional description toward the deceased.
Ko also addressed the claim that Kim Saeron visited Kim Soohyun’s home. He said that this visit took place during one of Kim Soohyun’s military leaves and occurred at a residence registered under his name, where his agency’s CEO and older brother was actually living. He explained that it was a natural visit that happened because their schedules aligned, and that his brother was also present. He added that the late Kim Sae-ron was a mutual acquaintance of both.
He asserted that their relationship was nothing more than ordinary interactions between fellow entertainers, and that there were absolutely no romantic or emotional undertones.

Attorney Ko explained that all the photos released by the YouTube channel GaroSero Institute were taken after Kim Saeron had become a legal adult, that is, after fall 2019, during her first year of college. He said that the KakaoTalk messages were also fabricated by a third party, not written by Kim Soohyun himself.
He added that although Garosero claimed to have more photos, not a single new image has been released in the past six months, because none exist.
Ko concluded that Kim Soohyun was never in a romantic relationship with the deceased while she was a m*nor, not even for a single day. He stated that they have filed a damages lawsuit amounting to 12 billion won (~ 8.8 million USD) against the bereaved family and Garosero.
