Lee Joon reveals that he received so much hate after his comment on service workers being out of touch, he wanted to d*e.

On August 29, a video was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Workman”, featuring singer DinDin and Lee Joon working part-time at a franchise cafe.

After finishing their shift, DinDin asked the branch manager, “Is there anything you wish for here?”
The manager replied, “I just wish we got paid more.”
To this, Lee Joon asked, “Don’t you make good money? Is it like 10 million won a month ($7K USD)?”
The manager, taken aback, responded, “Me?”

DinDin then pointed out, “This is the problem with celebrities. They have no real sense of the value of money. Driving supercars and sleeping on expensive beds all the time, they’ve lost touch with reality.”

DinDin clarified in a new video with Lee Joon, “I can work without saying much, but Joon-hyung is an MC, so he has no choice but to keep talking. And when you keep talking, people sometimes say nonsense, it happens. That’s why I think I had plenty of things I could have scolded him for.” He added, “If he really focused on the work, he wouldn’t be like that. He’s not an idiot, he knows how to do things well.”

Lee Joon said, “Right. I have a lot of part-time job experience. I’ve done a ton of tough jobs. What frustrates me is that our gym also has a branch manager. I know what their salary is, I’m the one who pays it,” explaining, “But when I’m filming, sometimes I don’t even realize what I’m saying. I just throw things out there.” [Nate]

A damages lawsuit filed by appliance brand Cuckoo Electronics against actor Kim Soo-hyun, who is facing allegations of having dated the late Kim Saeron when she was a minor, has officially begun.

On the 14th, the Civil Division 25 of the Seoul Central District Court held the first hearing for the multi-billion-won damages suit jointly filed by Cuckoo Electronics and related corporations against Kim Soohyun and his agency, Gold Medalist. The court asked Cuckoo to clearly specify the grounds for its claim.

Cuckoo Electronics had previously removed its advertisements and filed a civil lawsuit after public opinion turned negative when allegations surfaced that Kim Soohyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Saeron while she was still a minor, despite him serving as a model for the company at the time.

The court asked Cuckoo, “You cite the breakdown of trust as a reason for contract termination. Do you mean that any breakdown of trust suffices for termination, or that the breakdown of trust resulted from the other party’s fault? Please clarify.”

Cuckoo Electronics responded, “The situation in which all advertisers terminated their contracts with Kim Soohyun did not arise simply because of allegations raised by Garosero Research Institute. We are also claiming destruction of trust as grounds for termination, so we do not believe the civil suit must wait for the criminal case to conclude.” [Nate]
