[PC stories/KPOP takes] IDOLS WHO HATE THEIR JOB?

I’m not one to expect idols to be happy and cheery 24/7. But Yushi of NCT Wish sometimes has me thinking he hates his job. He only ever smiles when he’s on a trip or when he gets to eat, which is relatable, but it makes me wonder if he even enjoys his job? In recent content, he looks moody and sad. It is difficult to look at his face, because there’s a frown on it. He barely gets involved in the games, he speaks as little as necessary. Could he be very physically ill? Knetz have criticised his poor attitude in the past. I’d hate to find out he is depressed/sick but cmon.. he sits there purposely looking bored, creates a weird vibe like he does NOT wanna be there.

I used to get the same vibe with ENHYPEN’s Ni-ki back when I liked the group. Sometimes I will see a TikTok of the group and he is always silent and moody, no smile whatsoever, even when everyone else is laughing.

Is it a personality type? Guys who really aren’t happy and won’t try to lighten their moods?

And I think they get away with it a lot better than female idols would. Yushi fans comment “aww our cute cat is tired and bored” and he literally looks so pissed off like he’s waiting for the cameras to turn off. Once again, I understand being an idol is terribly hard. But you sort of signed up for it? All the other members are trying their best, even the maknaes. Yushi fans defend him, you cannot comment on his moody, downtrodden character because he’s a “cute stoic cat”. Although he’s been called out on it before, he’s still not talkative in fancalls. I think fancalls are cringe personally, but how can you be so rude to a fan on the other side of the screen? Giving them one word answers, rolling your eyes, etc.

Wish are my ult group, and I love Yushi when he’s in a good mood, but wow his bad moods make me feel uncomfortable.

Any other idols who look like they hate their job? (Excluding confirmed cases like the WOOAH girl…)
