The decision has been made for presenters to wear ‘memorial ribbons’.
As the CJ ENM K-pop awards ceremony ‘2025 MAMA Awards’ takes place in Hong Kong on the 28th and 29th, where a major fire tragedy occurred, all presenters, mostly actors, will take the stage wearing ‘memorial ribbons’.
According to officials, the MAMA Awards organizers notified the artists participating as presenters before the awards ceremony on the 28th, stating, 'It has been decided that all presenters will wear memorial ribbons, and we will distribute them on-site.'
The MAMA Awards had initially left the decision to wear the ribbons up to each artist, responding to inquiries from artists asking about wearing them that morning with, “There is no problem if you choose to wear one. Those needing ribbon materials should contact the production team.” However, after receiving numerous protest inquiries, the organizers finalized the decision that all presenters would wear memorial ribbons. The ribbons will be distributed uniformly on-site by the production team.

4. The celebrities became the shield. I feel bad for them
5. The Hong Kong government decided this so why is the responsibility shifted to our country's businesses??

7. Still plenty of people who just want to hate on celebrities, not care about Hong Kongã…‹ã…‹ Go talk to the Hong Kong government or something
8. Wow, this is seriously frustrating. People just want to hate. The reason why this couldn't be canceled is because of the Hong Kong locals' reactions. But people in our country are shutting their eyes and ears and continue to make a fuss

10. ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Koreans are the most severe when it comes to overreacting
