Girl group NewJeans is likely to legally confirm their status as ADOR members after a year-long exclusive contract dispute, bringing the situation to a new phase.
According to the music industry on the 13th, four of the five members residing in Korea and their guardians met with ADOR CEO Lee Do-kyung on the 11th. One member was unable to attend as she is overseas. It is understood that attendees conveyed their desired conditions, including prerequisites for returning to the agency.
The following afternoon, on the 12th, ADOR announced the return of members Haerin and Hyein. Subsequently, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also publicly declared their intention to return.
The lawsuit filed by ADOR seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contracts with the five NewJeans members will see the first-instance ruling that ‘the exclusive contracts are valid’ become final unless an appeal is filed by 12:00 AM on the 14th.
Following ADOR's official confirmation of Haerin and Hyein's return to the group, and with Minji, Hanni, and Danielle also expressing their intention to return, it is highly likely that the five members will not file an appeal.
This means ADOR now faces the task of resolving the conflict with the five members, whose affiliation with the agency will be legally confirmed on the 14th. The members must also adapt to an ADOR without former CEO Min Hee-jin.

A close associate of the three members explained, “After the meeting on the 11th, while waiting for a response regarding the matters discussed, the official announcement of the other two members' return was made. Concerned about fan confusion, they urgently conveyed their desire to return and requested ADOR announce this, but receiving no reply, they had no choice but to inform the media.”
Unlike its statement to Haerin and Hyein that it would “do its utmost to ensure smooth entertainment activities,” ADOR showed a ‘difference in tone’ regarding the three members, stating it was “verifying their true intentions” and would look into their motives.
Following their meeting on the 11th, ADOR is expected to meet with the members' representatives again soon for detailed discussions. It is reported that Minji, Hanni, and Danielle's representatives also agreed to the meeting itself. However, whether the three members will attend or if all members will participate is still under discussion.

1. I hope that the remaining three don't come back and just pay the penalty feesã…‹ã…‹
2. The other three are seriously daebak. They should be bowing their heads in shame right now, and even that wouldn't be enoughã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹
3. Just shameless
4. If they don't come back, they will get sued so of course they will come back
5. Legendaryã…‹
6. Wait, but if the members who went to Antarctica were thinking about going there at that time, does that mean they actually intended to come back? Antarctica isn't exactly a place you can just suddenly decide to go to today, like “Oh, I'll head to Antarctica today~”... Even I, who's not an ADOR employee, am suspicious, imagine how the company must feel. Unless they went in specifically to create grounds for escaping their contracts under Min Hee-jin's orders, they need to prove themselves otherwise
7. They blame everyone else as soon as they open their mouths
8. They all met together so why only 2 acpted?
9. Meet again and come to an agreement
10. Seeing how Min Hee-jin released her statement and emphasized on '5 members', it seems like Min Hee-jin was involved in this too?
