Comedian Park Narae has been hit with a provisional seizure request filed by her former managers. The claimed amount is approximately 100 million won, and the request targets real estate owned by Park (~67K USD).
On the 3rd, Park’s former managers submitted a real estate provisional seizure application to the Seoul Western District Court. They also announced that they will file a 1 billion won (670K USD) damages lawsuit, citing various harms they claim to have suffered during their employment.
The former managers allege workplace bullying, aggravated as***lt, proxy medical prescriptions, and unpaid business expenses by Park Narae. They have reportedly submitted additional evidence to the court to support their claims of misconduct.
According to the managers, Park Narae ab*sed them for personal errands, sending them to buy snacks, clean up after parties, and forcing them to accompany her to drinking gatherings. They claim they were required to be on standby 24 hours a day and were even tasked with family-related chores, effectively being used as housekeepers.
One manager says they were verbally ab*sed for not drinking alcohol, and that they were injured by a glass Park threw in anger during a drinking incident. They were also forced to handle personal medical errands, such as booking hospital appointments and picking up proxy prescriptions.
Park Narae also allegedly failed to properly reimburse work-related expenses. The managers said, “Even expenses incurred while doing company work weren't properly paid back,” adding that some food ingredient costs and alcohol purchase expenses were also left unpaid.
Unable to endure what they describe as Park’s mistreatment, the managers decided to resign. When they requested reimbursement for outstanding expenses, they claim they were told only that Park would file charges against them for defamation and forgery.
Explaining the reason behind the provisional seizure request, the managers stated:
“Park Narae refuses to acknowledge her wrongdoing. Once the damages lawsuit begins, there is a high likelihood she will dispose of or hide her assets.”
