Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We are providing an update on the legal action being taken to protect the rights and interests of our artist, aespa's Winter.

Our company is well aware of the seriousness of the ongoing malicious posts and comments (SH, defamation, personal attacks, insults, invasion of privacy, deepfakes, etc.) related to our artists, which have been continuously reported by fans through 'KWANGYA 119' and our own monitoring efforts.

Specifically, we have confirmed numerous posts that damage the personality and reputation of Winter, as well as malicious posts and SH posts intended to publicly slander the artist on platforms such as DC Inside, Female Generation, Nate Pann, Instiz, The Qoo, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter). We plan to review these posts and gradually expand the scope of our legal complaints.

Furthermore, our company is proceeding with criminal complaints and civil claims against those who have written malicious posts related to aespa on the platforms mentioned above. We are also securing a large amount of evidence and will respond strongly without leniency to the creation of malicious rumors, repeated dissemination of false information, writing of SH posts, and the production and distribution of mocking and distorted content that occurs on personal social media, online communities, and anonymous bulletin boards. Please be careful not to get involved in any unsavory incidents.
